How's your week so far? Anyway, Jesus week was great isn't it? On behalf of AOCF, I would like to thank you for getting involved and support during that week. Some of you actually went out and share the gospel with people around campus and even at Albert Park. Keep it up!! Though these upcoming weeks are not Jesus Week anymore, but that does not mean you should stop sharing your faith and the gospel to people around, which includes your family members and friends. You guys are great. Thank you very much.
Anyway, here are the following updates :
Friday Meeting
TIME : 5.30pm
PLACE : Maclaurin Chapel
This Friday, Elena's dad will be joining us at the chapel and give a talk on FAITH & WORKS. An interesting combination and would be great if you can come along and listen to the talk. What is faith? What is work? Is it all about doing all the good deeds and is it for your own glory or Him? Find out more this Friday. Also do not forget to bring along your friends. Hehehe...
We will be eating out this Friday. Probably we will try this new place at Victoria Street ( opposite the bungy ) instead of Food Alley ( unless you really want to go food alley ). This new place is new and has 20% discount after 6pm. Woohooo!!. Also, the food is not too bad. So we might try it over there on Friday. However, choices are not as many compared to Food Alley.
LaZer-Strike!
Everyone probably needs to have some fun after all those tests and stuff. OCF will be having a Laser Strike Night as a fundraising event on Friday 28th of August (Week 6). It is the last week of uni before semester holidays. It will be held from 10pm-1am which will be after the usual Friday meetings and dinner!
The cost is ONLY $25 for the entire three hours! This will be held at the Sylvia Park Megazone which is the biggest one around (we will be booking the entire place). There will be a room with television sets available while waiting for your turn so feel free to bring your gaming consoles, food, drinks etc..
This is a fundraising event so do invite your frens!! Transport will be provided from the chapel to the place. This does mean we need drivers so those who are able and willing please indicate.
5-7pm (Friday Meeting)
7-9pm (Dinner)
9:15 (Leave City and head towards Sylvia Park)
9:45 (Arrive at Megazone)
If you are interested in coming, give your names to either Juin (021-2653997) or Justin (021-1655911).
SNOW TRIP
Yes, I know I have sent out lots of time regarding snow trip. I need you to confirm with me as soon as possible because we need to book for accommodation. Dateline is before 18th August 2009 but it will be great if you could confirm as soon as possible=). Slightly bad news, dates are not confirmed yet BUT it will be on the 1st week of holidays. Also, there's a slight problem regarding accommodation at Rotorua. That is why we need your co-operation. Your prompt co-operation is greatly appreciated.
IMPACT GROUP
Here are the following options for impact group. In short, impact group is like a bible study group where you can ask about the bible and discuss in groups. Any questions regarding the bible, just ask. Don't be shy. Haha =P

some VIDEO
When my cousin came to Auckland for a visit, he let me watch this video from youtube. I was blown away with it. So I decided to share it with you all
