Anyway, here are the following notices:
FRIDAY MEETING
As usual,
Time: 5.30pm
Venue: Maclaurin Chapel
What will be talked in AOCF this Friday? Anyone here has facebook? Pretty sure most of you are regular facebook users. Don't deny that!. Muahahahahha. So yes, Ben Carswell, one of the TSCF staff worker will be coming to AOCF to give a talk on facebook and friends. Most of you may think "eeew, what a cheesy topic". Trust me, he gave this talk at mid-year conference and it was not what I expected. I would highly recommend you to come and hear this talk. Also, think of why do we need to fellowship among our friends aka importants to have friends around you, especially when you're in university. So yea, please DO BE ON TIME this time.
After that, we'll be heading off to food alley for dinner. I think this time I will take the Pad Thai. Yuuumm!!
I know that most of us are tied up with assignments and stuffs but do get to spend sometime in AOCF, especially on Friday evenings and fellowship among yourselves. It's probably just 4 hours out of your whole week. We want you to have fun and feel belong and also grow together spiritually. If you do not take the first step, you wouldn't know what will be the outcome.
IMPACT GROUP
Impact group will commence as usual starting from tomorrow. Sign up for one of the 4 groups as listed below. Here in IG, we learn the bible and discuss it together as a group. It's like you studying as a group in university. Somehow it is more effective than studying alone ( well, research says so...hehehehe...).
Do you want to be in TEAM....
Bennie - Tuesday 5-7pm (0210300290)
Raymond - Tuesday 6-8pm ( might change ) (0211234898)

eReach!
eReach! is about evangelistic outreach. We want to impact this campus with the reality of Jesus. And for the whole of this week we've been giving out free milo as a way of initiating conversation with the students on campus, and giving out flyers to them about Jesus Week...and influencing them with our love. We NEED your help! And we also have gospel sharing occuring around the OCF tent in the quad just outside the Recreation Centre. We're using the tent as a meeting place for us to head out to share the gospel and to come back and meet, and it's also the place where we're giving out free milo. Think of it as bringing OCF out into the campus. It's happening everyday for the rest of this week from 11 to 2pm. And from next week onwards, it'll be happening 11am to 2pm every TUESDAY :D so please do pop along if you wanna observe how to share the gospel and to learn how to share, or even if it's to help out give out milos...it's been a great way of making friendships with the students around us with the intention of sharing Jesus with them.
what : eReach! evangelistic outreach. mix of GST (Gospel Sharing Team) and free milo.
when: everyday for the rest of this week from 11-2pm, and also EVERYDAY TUESDAY 11-2PM from now on.
bring: a smile, a loving spirit, and a desire to see this campus changed for jesus! :D
see: Raymond 021 1234 898
Due to the rainy days this week, eReach will be on Friday instead. Same time and same place.
Prayer Meeting
Prayer meeting commences every Monday at 11am in Maclaurin Chapel. Come along and pray together with some of us. If you have anything you want to pray for, or whatever you've been struggling with, come long and pray. For more info, please look for Abigail at 02102549191
22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22
ONE DAYS WAGES
OCF is doing a one day wages pledge for IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students), which AOCF is a part of, through TSCF. Basically this works by offering one day of your wages if you are working to IFES. If you aren't working, we encourage you to find a one-off job and then pledge the money to IFES. Further offerings to our staff workers in Fiji, India and Ecuador will be much appreciated :)
Each year TSCF groups like OCF are asked to consider a pledge towards helping other student groups like ours around the world. This year OCF pledged $2500 to helping other groups like UESI in India. Money given to UESI helps provide for Theological training for staff workers in that country. Some of this pledge goes to provide transport costs and scholarship to Fiji and PNG students and staff coming to our Student leadership conference in November in Paraparaumu. Such training and theological education helps these groups to deepen their relationship with Jesus and grow their group.
Still, this is all free will, not a MUST. If you're willing to donate, please see Wei Lin on Friday during AOCF. =)
AMAZING RACE
However, if you don't feel like donating money for nothing in return.....you can contribute via Amazing Race! As announced last Friday, Amazing Race is coming, and it's happening soon. Please mark your calendars:

AOCF with Steve Dunne
It was a day to remember for most of us, especially among leaders here in Auckland Overseas Christian Fellowship. Steve Dunne, a pastor from Richmond Baptist Church, Nelson came to Auckland for a visit and requested specially to have a 2 hour session with AOCF. AOCF took the opportunity to spend those 2 hours with him today (Saturday, 19th September 2009).
As stated earlier, Steve is a pastor from a church in Nelson,South Island. He has 8 children in total, with 3 of them are adopted. He was sharing about his life with his family by showing some pictures and his contagious laughter. He shared about his youngest adopted daughter. Her name is Promise Rose Dunne. She is an Asian girl and she suffered with a hole in the heart, lungs failure and Down syndrome. The doctor said that this girl will only live up to 6 months after she was born. Also, she was born too early. Many people asked him why would he even bother adopt her when she cannot live for long and it costs quite a fortune to adopt a child. He said "Yes people has been asking me about it, but 3 years ago, God spoke to my wife that they will adopt a child which no one will want to do so". So, both Steve and his wife, Emma adopted her to show how much God loves everyone and He does not discriminate. God's love are shown by people's action. What a miracle, the baby girl is now 2 years old and living happily with the big family.
He also add one verse in his stories. When we pray, we always state about 3 things, which are the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He was saying that some of us do forget about the Father. He pointed out a verse on John 16:27. It says "No, the Father himself loves you because you have love me and believed that I came from God". He added by saying how our earthly father now loves us. Our heavenly Father says everything's ok if we have done something wrong in our lives. It is also stated in Hebrews 12 about how our Father treats us like His children.
After sharing his stories, he invited all of us to pray together with him. We stood up together with him, closed our eyes and bow our head and pray. He told us to think about our sins, what we did towards people and people towards us, what and why are we so ashamed about ourselves. He asked us to place our 2 hands and form it like a bowl and think of all the shames and sins that we have commited in our lives. After thinking, we release our hands and said "Father, please fill me with your love. Please forgive me...". It may sound really simple here, but it was hard to really open up to Him when praying. Some emotions were poured out during the time of prayer. There are so many things that we are so ashamed about ourselves but we do not know how much God really loves us. Sometimes we may dislike ourselves but like stated earlier, our heavenly Father does not discriminate. He loves each and every one of us no matter what we are. It does says in Romans 8:39 that "neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord".
It has been a priviledge to have Steve Dunne to join AOCF during his visit here in Auckland. It was really an eye opening event and a day to remember. Thank you Steve Dunne and may God bless you always.

AOCFers in UMSA ball
Anyway, on the 30th August 2009, around 25 AOCFers were busy walking around to look nice and sharp for the guys and pretty and glamourous for the girls. Guess what, most of them looked good or should I say, FIERCE!. Some of us even took extra effort to even went all the way to buy flowers for the girls, looking for a matching tie and how to style our hair. What's bad was that it is a Sunday and not many shops were open during that day. However, that did not stop all of us from looking great for the ball.
You must be wondering why do I even blog about this? UMSA and OCF has been bonded well all the while. Besides, most people in OCF consists of Malaysians. That may not be the necessary case as doesn't mean that Malaysians in OCF are members of UMSA. However, there is no need for any "rivalry" between both clubs. Some may have bad experiences but that does not really the case for us as Christians. We are called here to love one another even if we dislike a person, what more a club.
" 13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful naturea]">[a]; rather, serve one another in love. 14The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."b]">[b]" Galatians 5:13-14
It is hard to love the person you dislike. Trust me, I myself am struggling with it. I once had a friend came to me and said "Love your enemies as how you love your brothers". Seriously, that advice gave by my friend permanently stuck into my head. I kept reminding myself when I encounter such circumstances. Instead of disliking each other, why not we just have a simple conversation with people in UMSA. Form a conversation, discuss about what you believe, share about your faith and perhaps you could ask about their opinions. From there, we not only can make new friends, but also in a way doing what we are called to do. Use the gifts given by God to glorify Him by just simply having great fellowship among one another.
"11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:11-13
I'm sure most of you encountered a situation where you do not really feel belong. If you do not take the initiative, you wouldn't know the outcome and you would keep continue dwelling in such sadness and loneliness. Step up, come out from your comfort zone and there is no excuses all the time when it comes to making new friends.
UMSA is just another example since most AOCF members are malaysians. You can even form a good fellowship with other clubs in the uni as well like Kiwi Asian Club (KAC), Phillipines Club (FSA), HKESA and many more. AOCF involved in the Asia Games was the perfect example of the members stepping up to make new friends with other people from other clubs. Some members from other club gave a feedback by saying how united we are and how nice we are during the game. Considering that we're "just a christian club", we had so many supporters and everyone played well as a team. Not to brag so much about AOCF but keep reminded that we are doing for the glory of God, not for our ownselves.
That is all for now. Have a nice day!

Cellphone VS Bible
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several time a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we travelled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go ... hmm, where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to
worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already
paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?
Oh the best part is no dropped calls or lack of service!
What do you think of this poem? Feel free to give your opinion/ comment. =)

There has been a change of plans concerning Snow Camp so here goes:
Instead of 2-5th Sept (Wed to Sat), we'll only be going from 2-4th Sept, staying two nights in Ohakune and no nights in Rotorua.
It's now shorter and cheaper, which means more time to catch up on your studies, less stressful on your wallet and you'll still be doing the same activities as previously planned!
Here's the updated itinery:
Wednesday
9am: Meet at Chapel, pray etc
About 12pm: Lunch somewhere in Hamilton or somewhere with food
About 330/4pm: Arrive at Station Lodge, Ohakune and check in
Rest of the day: Bum around, supermarket shop, dinner, rent gear for the next day, BIG SLEEP IN PREPARATION FOR SNOW!
Thursday
7am: Wake up, breakfast
8/830am: Hopefully on the way down to the snow
Onward: SNOWSNOWSNOW
430pm: Gather, return gear, dinner and sleep at Station Lodge, Ohakune

Head back to Aucks
So once again, WHAT do you need to do if you're keen on coming?
(DEADLINE: 18 August 09)

How's your week so far? Anyway, Jesus week was great isn't it? On behalf of AOCF, I would like to thank you for getting involved and support during that week. Some of you actually went out and share the gospel with people around campus and even at Albert Park. Keep it up!! Though these upcoming weeks are not Jesus Week anymore, but that does not mean you should stop sharing your faith and the gospel to people around, which includes your family members and friends. You guys are great. Thank you very much.
Anyway, here are the following updates :
Friday Meeting
TIME : 5.30pm
PLACE : Maclaurin Chapel
This Friday, Elena's dad will be joining us at the chapel and give a talk on FAITH & WORKS. An interesting combination and would be great if you can come along and listen to the talk. What is faith? What is work? Is it all about doing all the good deeds and is it for your own glory or Him? Find out more this Friday. Also do not forget to bring along your friends. Hehehe...
We will be eating out this Friday. Probably we will try this new place at Victoria Street ( opposite the bungy ) instead of Food Alley ( unless you really want to go food alley ). This new place is new and has 20% discount after 6pm. Woohooo!!. Also, the food is not too bad. So we might try it over there on Friday. However, choices are not as many compared to Food Alley.
LaZer-Strike!
Everyone probably needs to have some fun after all those tests and stuff. OCF will be having a Laser Strike Night as a fundraising event on Friday 28th of August (Week 6). It is the last week of uni before semester holidays. It will be held from 10pm-1am which will be after the usual Friday meetings and dinner!
The cost is ONLY $25 for the entire three hours! This will be held at the Sylvia Park Megazone which is the biggest one around (we will be booking the entire place). There will be a room with television sets available while waiting for your turn so feel free to bring your gaming consoles, food, drinks etc..
This is a fundraising event so do invite your frens!! Transport will be provided from the chapel to the place. This does mean we need drivers so those who are able and willing please indicate.

9:15 (Leave City and head towards Sylvia Park)
9:45 (Arrive at Megazone)

Dateline is before 18th August 2009 but it will be great if you could confirm as soon as possible=). Slightly bad news, dates are not confirmed yet BUT it will be on the 1st week of holidays. Also, there's a slight problem regarding accommodation at Rotorua. That is why we need your co-operation. Your prompt co-operation is greatly appreciated.

Tear Down the Wall - Hillsongs United
Tear Down The Walls
Tear down the walls see the world
Is there something we have missed
Turn from ourselves
Look beyond
There is so much more than this
And I don’t need to see it to believe it
I don’t need to see it to believe it
Cause I can’t shake this
Fire deep inside my heart
Look to the skies hope arise
See His majesty revealed
More than this life there is love
There is hope and this is real
Cause I don’t need to see it to believe it
I don’t need to see it to believe it
Cause I can’t shake this fire burning
Deep inside my heart
This life is Yours and hope is rising
As Your glory floods our hearts
Let love tear down these walls
That all creation would
Come back to You
It’s all for You
Your Name is glorious
Glorious
Your love is changing us
Calling us
To worship in spirit and in truth
As all creation returns to You
Oh for all the sons and daughters
Who are walking in the darkness
You are calling us to lead them back to You
We will see Your spirit rising
As the lost come out of hiding
Every heart will see this hope we have in You
Cause I don’t need to see it to believe it
I don’t need to see it to believe it
Cause I can’t shake this fire burning
Deep inside my heart
This life is Yours and hope is rising
As Your glory floods our hearts
Let love tear down these walls
That all creation would
Come back to You
It’s all for You
Your Name is glorious
Glorious
Your love is changing us
Calling us
To worship in spirit and in truth
As all creation returns to You

The Maze and the Map

Many years ago, a very wealthy man lived in a spacious castle near a small village. He had vaults full of gold and silver and his estate stretched on for miles and miles. One day the man came into the village and announced that he had built a giant maze on his property. The walls were very high, and it stretched out over several hundred acres. He had placed all of his gold and silver in the center of the maze; any man who could get to it could have everything.
Since everyone in the village was very poor, each man packed a few things into a sack, said goodbye to his family, and set out to find the treasure. After several weeks, a few emerged from the maze. They told of men dying and others insane from getting lost.
One day a young man stood at the entrance, thinking about his own journey, when he heard a voice behind him say, "Are you going in alone?" Startled, the young man turned and saw an old man behind him. "No, I am afraid. Many men have lost their lives in there, and saw an old man behind him. "No, I am afraid. Many men have lost their lives in there, and I would surely die also." The old man looked deep into his eyes and said, "My son, I built that maze, and I have the map. I know every corner and turn. You can follow me, and I will lead you straight to the treasure. Now stay close and walk in my path."
Psalm 32:8 (NIV), "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you."
The young man had the benefit of walking through the maze with its creator. Christians have the benefit of following the Maker and Creator of all through life's twists and turns. Our challenge to you: What are some ways you can make sure you are walking with the Lord? Write them down now. Ask God to help you follow Him more closely in each of these areas.
SNOW TRIP UPDATES
We have decided that the snow trip will kick off on 1st September 2009 until 4th September 2009. It is the first week of the mid semester break and I guess it is better to do it on first week. We can leave the 2nd week for our own things, especially assignments. OH NO!!..
I will give you the rough plan on what we are doing throughout that period. We won't be using all 4 days to snowboard/ ski on top of the mountain.
TUesday
9am : Meet at Chapel, pray etc
10am : Leave
About 12pm : Lunch somewhere in Hamilton?
About 330/4pm: Arrive at Ohakune and check in, perhaps at Station Lodge
Rest of the day: Bum around, dinner, BIG SLEEP IN PREPARATION FOR SNOW!
Wednesday

About 5pm: Return stuff

Arrive, check into youth hostel
Call/buy Domino's pizza for dinner? (There's a Domino's on Fenton street, it won't be hard to find)
Thursday
Bit more chillaxed,
9am: leave for Skyline luge rides etc/just hang out for the people who're not keen on going
Lunch
Polynesian Spa
BBQ dinner + Angel game + some telematch games. More for bonding time together..awwww!
Friday
10am: Check out (check out time is 10am)
Slowly make our own ways back to Auckland.
So yea, this is the rough plan. What I need from you now is for your confirmation on this trip as we need the confirmed number of people in order for us to book for accommodation. Once confirmed, hopefully you won't pull out last minute because that will affect the plans so badly.
That's all for now. Any questions, just write down on the comment box below.

eReach!
eReach! is about evangelistic outreach.

IMPACT GROUP
Here are the following options for impact group. In short, impact group is like a bible study group where you can ask about the bible and discuss in groups. Any questions regarding the bible, just ask. Don't be shy. Haha =P
You can choose the following times that suits you best.
Bennie - Tuesday 5-7pm (0210300290)
Raymond - Tuesday 6-8pm ( might change ) (0211234898)

AOCF BLOG
Oh Yes, I've changed the AOCF blog from multiply to blogspot. It is www.aucklandoverseaschristianfellowship.blogspot.com. I know it's such a long name but I can't put in the abbreviation of the club's name because it belongs to come other people. Oh well, the purpose of the blog is so that if you have any enquiries, just ask us via the blog rather than replying everyone's email one by one. It makes things easier and more efficient. Some of you may ask the same questions as other person via email. Why not just one person ask, and I could just provide an answer straight away. It is more like a discussion forum or whatever you call it. Also, if you have any feedbacks or anything you would like to express about AOCF, feel free to do so in the blog. =)
Tongue Twister
How much myrtle would a wood turtle hurdle if a wood turtle could hurdle myrtle?
A wood turtle would hurdle as much myrtle as a wood turtle could hurdle if a wood turtle could hurdle myrtle.
THat's all for now. Have a great week ahead. God bless!

Weeks so far...
Let me start off with orientation week. First of all, on behalf of AOCF, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Wilson and Regina for being the main organiser during the week. Regina has been spending all her time designing the flyers and delegating members to help out at the booth while Wilson has constantly being efficient throughout the week. This guy never turns up late and very responsible for making sure everything went smoothly. So good job to both of you. What amazed me was this time, there were more people came and help out at the booth. These people were not shy giving out flyers, lollys and milo to people walking pass and whenever they're free, they chose to stay at the booth. I'm impressed that most of the first years actually stood up and help at the booth. Great work people.
As for Friday meetings, Nigel Pollock came all the way from Wellington to Auckland and joined AOCF to give a talk on what is the purpose of being a Christian in campus. How do you find about the talk? Did any points made by Nigel hit you at some point? I know there was one point he mentioned that strucked me a bit. He said " Go back and think of who do we have in mind that we want to share the gospel with? Or sow seeds with". It strucked me because I was thinking whether have I actually done such thing to my non-Christian friends. It is hard to share the gospel with people that does not believe in God at the first place. But hey, in the gospel of Matthew, God calls us to be the salt and light of the world ( Matthew 5:13-16). So why not we step up and share something about God to our non Christian friends. At first, of course, it is hard but I guess we will never know until we actually try it out.
On the second week, impact group kicked off with bonding session among members. Elena's impact group had steamboat at Michelle's place on Monday night. What a night. We ate lots of food but it was lots of work. Some people were non stop stirring the soup while some just cannot stop laughing out loud. I guess it is a good thing. They enjoyed themselves and can see that the relationship among members were close. Secondly was a joined dinner between Bennie's and Raymond's impact group. We had potluck in the chapel itself. Food was great. We get to taste some home cook food. Not to forget some nice bbq pork and roast duck. Yuuumm!!. After dinner, we played boardgames and enjoyed ourselves a lot. Taboo was rather intensed. Bolderdash was funny etc etc. Haha. Unbelievable turn out actually. Speaking of impact groups, hopefully you signed up for the impact group times as stated in the newsletter.
Friday meeting on the 2nd week was on evangelism. The speaker was Graeam from Auckland Chinese Presbyterian Church. In the gospel, the classic example is the parable of the seed. When we go out sowing seeds, some may accept it, some may reject, some just couldn't be bothered. It is not necessary street evangelism that we're talking about. You can spread the gospel to your friends or even your family. Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we could have eternal life. When Jesus was out there preaching, some people rejected Him but He still constantly spreading the word. His 12 disciples were chosen to sow seeds. As these seeds were sown on good ground, it produce fruits. It multiples!. I once attended to this church service and there was this preacher named Chris Hill. He said " Quantity is not the issue. Majority doesn't mean you're right." So even if there is not many people who chose to believe in the good news, at least there are still who believes eventhough they may be small in quantity. Also, what makes us not wanting to go out and sow seeds? Do we have any other better things to do? Or we just don't want to get involved due to the fact you don't like the feeling of being rejected? If we do not share our faith, how does people know that God really works in us?
That was second week. So what do you think of the first and second week? Any feedbacks? Haha. Feel free to comment on this post regarding what happened on the past weeks in this semester. Other than that, that is all from me. Take care and God bless.

AOCF newsletter 27th - 31st July 2009
How was your first week? Good? Bad? How is your timetable this semester compared to the last semester? So far no assignments and tests yet but soon it will come in piles. Gosh!!.
Ok ok. No point for me keep worrying about this. Let me keep you up to date on what is going on sometime this week and the week after.
Friday Meeting
As usual,
Venue : Maclaurin Chapel
Time : 5pm
According to the dictionary, evangelism means the practise of speading the gospel. As simple as it may sound, will it be easy if you actually do it to other people? Do you actually have the courage and boldness to evangelise to people around the campus? This Friday, a pastor from the Auckland Chinese Presbyterian Church (ACPC), Graeme will be coming to OCF to give an inspirational talk on evangelism. It is something that you may want to apply it in your life next time. So I do highly encourage you to come and join the evangelism talk in conjunction of Jesus Week on week 3. Also, do bring along your friends as they might want to learn something about it as well.
ORIENTAL ORIENTATION LUNCH
It's on THIS Saturday at Emperor's Garden Restaurant, encourage you all to come especially if you're a newcomer to OCF and also for the old-timers too so we can all mix and mingle with the new-er ones! Peking Duck will be on the menu as well for Saturday, along with other dishes. BUT! I need a confirmation of numbers for the lunch so I can pass it to my uncle, I already have around 35 names down from last Friday night, and we still have plenty more spaces for more! So if you're keen to come, please send a text to me (Raymond ) on 021 1234 898, or alternatively just come see me or Kelvin or Elena on Friday night and we'll put your name down on the list. And we would greatly appreciate it if you can bring the exact $14 in cash on Friday night, because otherwise it'll be an epic mess if all 50 of us pay individually on the Saturday! :D and then straight after the lunch, the evangelism/jesus-week training will be on and we'll be providing transport from the lunch to the evangelism/jesus-week training session which'll be held in my church in City, and I'll highly encourage you to come along to it, it'll only be a short 2 hour session on how to share the gospel...continue to read the following...
price: $14 per person.
where: Emperor's Garden Restaurant
how to get there: meeting at OCF chapel at 1145am sharp and we'll have cars taking you there.
when: THIS saturday 1st of august at 12pm

EVANGELISM AND JESUS-WEEK TRAINING!
And SO after the lunch, we'll be having a short and sweet 2-hour evangelism/jesus-week training on how to tell others about Jesus. As you all may know, there'll be gospel sharing times throughout the week next week from 11am to 2pm as well as various other events being held during the week. And we want to make the most of these opportunities to be able to tell our classmates, our friends, and the people we meet about Jesus. Andy Shuddall will be coming in to do a short training session on what things we should say when we share about Jesus, how we should share, the attitude and spirit we should have, as well as practical ways of sharing. And I'll be doing a short demonstration on how to use one of our evangelism tools - the Soularium. We want to be prepared and trained for Jesus Week, a week of raising awareness of Jesus and a week of sharing the gospel to our fellow students on this campus.
We'll be giving people rides at the end of the lunch straight to the evangelism/jesus-week training which'll be held at my church in City.
when: THIS saturday 1st of august 3pm to 5pm.
where: Auckland Chinese Presbyterian Church (ACPC) 105 Vincent Street, City. - for those coming to the lunch, transport will be provided from the lunch to the training -

PRAYER
As you all know, next week will be Jesus' week! (= *yes, the excitement is mounting!*
And we want you to PARTNER with us to PRAY for the week. Remember, apart from God, we can do nothing - and we really need to pray that God's Spirit will guide, empower and accomplish immeasurably than all we ask or imagine through all of us.
- we will be having:
1. Prayer meetings every week at the chapel NEXT WEEK starting at 8, so do drop by and join us!
2. A 2-hour-long prayer meeting THIS friday 11-1pm at the chapel, organised by YWAM (Youth With a Mission) to pray for Jesus week.
Even if you can't make it for any of the events above, please set aside a few minutes each day to pray for the week.
Here are a few things you can pray for :)
- Let us pray that for God's Spirit to work in many hearts so many will come to know Christ
- Pray for our brothers and sisters involved in the various events through out the week including: Worship Team, Dialogue Discussion, and Speakers.
- Pray for BOLDNESS and sensitivity to God's Spirit as the Word of God is preached.
- Unity amongst Christians on campus as we go out to share.

ShiErn - Thursday 10am-12pm (0210763393)
Name the following verses
1 ) "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own".
2 ) "When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets."
3 ) " Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up."
That's all for now. Have a pleasant week. Take care and God bless.
